Our server was super nice! He was attentive which was appreciated. The couple next to us was horrendously annoying. Thankfully they were at the end of their meal. I definitely think the floor and walls could use some cleaning. Our sever helped us move to another table because there was gum stuck to the wall. We got a boil which was good. The sauce had a slight kick to it which my partner liked but it was hot to me lol. We will definitely be back!

If you've never had the pleasure of boiling really good seafood, mixed with vegetables and flavorful spices in front of you, you truly are letting the best in life pass you by. The vibe in here is great, don't let the sterile strip mall outside fool you, inside has a great relaxed/chill vibe. Service has always been great. From being greeted when I first walked in, to checking on drinks and other things we wanna order, the manager even buzzes by once in a while to check to see how you're doing. As far as the food, it's just something you need to experience. You don't even need to like seafood to try this out. There are so many vegetables and spices in here, you're not going to get a "fishy taste". Anyhow, if you're still a little apprehensive, I recommend trying Simmer in the Safeway shopping center. That will get you started on Vietnamese cuisine, and start building your tolerance to spicy food. Vietnamese food is in a whole different class of spicy. Don't think just because you can handle spicy jalapeños that you can take on Vietnamese spices . Just Fair Warning
This a review for the Hot Pot! Recommended by a beloved coworker, we had no idea such great hot pot existed In Sonoma County. Simmer Claw Bar was a pleasure from beginning to end. The host gave some great advice on sticking with the a la carte over combos for 2 people (we spent about $70 including tip and we ate Real good). The veggies were fresh, the brisket was solid, and the broths were particularly delicious. The sauce bar is exactly what you want it to be. The service was spot on. The space has a sports bar/fisherman vibe. What else can I say besides we'll be back for sure.
Food and seafood on point as always! Service was great as well, the atmosphere screams fun and outgoing. Very spacious establishment. Great spot to gather for special events or just a simply day out! Flavors at its best. Freshness with every bite. Quality and service still stands strong. The sha-bang has gone up in price but just as everything else nowadays. It's inevitable Thank you.
Simmer Claw Bar is a seafood lover's paradise. The menu is packed with options, whether you go for the seafood boil or the hot pot, you cannot go wrong. I tried the seafood boil with shrimp, snow crab and sausage in their signature simmer sauce - sooo good! The hot pot option is a fun, interactive experience, and the broth options are sooo rich and flavorful. It's perfect for sharing with friends or family, with tons of variations or meat and veggies to customize your pot. We shared a hot pot for 3 people and it was more than enough food to handle lol. Our server, Izzi was attentive and friendly. Great food is one thing, but the service made the experience even better. Overall, 1000000/10. I was in a food coma for hours. I can't wait for my next visit! Pro tip: The garlic noodles is a must-try side --they pair perfectly with both the boil and the hot pot.
Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday with a large party of 11. They required a $50 deposit when making a reservation for parties over 8 which is used toward your bill after your meal. The waiter did a nice job of explaining how the process works for ordering a seafood boil since it was our first time here. We all enjoyed the food! Everything was delicious! We enjoyed our seafood boil and appetizers. The prices of the various seafood was listed on a chalkboard in the back of the restaurant which was difficult to read, so we had to walk up to get a closer look. I would love to come back and try their hot pot or another seafood boil.
This is the only place I like to go to for seafood boil. Although they recently opened up their hot pot/shabu option, I would recommend sticking with the seafood boil since it is the best thing they make [Hot pot i would prefer from anywhere further south]. The garlic butter sauce is the best sauce and goes well with all of the seafood and their garlic noodles. Service here has also always been incredible and attentive. Everyone here is incredibly chill and helpful. Great place for boil especially during Dungeness season.
